Making Disciples

“Teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you” Matt 28:20

IT STARTS WITH YOU

Discipleship begins with you! It is as much about being a disciple through ongoing personal spiritual growth as it is about making disciples. Understanding that is key in the call to go and make disciples.

  • Jesus says in Matthew 28:18 that "all authority” is in Him and that we should disciple others under that authority. In essence, that cannot happen without your personal relationship and understanding of who Jesus is in your life - being a disciple.

We have not been called to do this in our own strength. We can only do this in and through Him.

John 14:16 says that the Holy Spirit will be our helper, teaching us all things and bringing to remembrance all things Jesus said, which is found in the Bible - allowing Him to make you a disciple.

This is where a call and passion for discipleship starts.

Are you a born again, spirit-filled believer in Jesus who loves reading and sharing from God’s inspired Word?

As you go deeper in the Word, do you have a longing to take others deeper?

    Then this is for you!

Steps to begin a group

The question we get asked from those interested in beginning a group is how do we start and what is required? After reading "IT STARTS WITH YOU” see the practical steps to start a group below.

  • If you believe this is for you and would like to start an Inspire Disciple Group, click the link to sign-up: SIGN-UP NOW.

What qualifies a person to start an Inspire Disciple Group? Believing in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, living a life devoted to Him and having a desire to see others do the same.

  • We require a quarterly update to know how many people are involved in Inspire Disciple Groups. No personal information of group attendees will be asked. It only helps us identify where our groups are located and how many we have in group attendance. We will be in touch when it’s time to do the quarterly update.

  • It’s important to have a comfortable location to host a great bible study, including discussion, prayer and for ministry to happen. If you don’t have a location you think will work, we encourage you to wait, continue watching the videos and plan and pray for the right location. Remember, waiting to start is not wasted time. Allow God to continue to shape you for what is to come in the future.

  • We encourage you to invite people you know and/or do life with. People who would like to be part of a disciple group like this. This group has a specific focus - please see “IMPORTANT FOCUS POINTS” for more information.

  • We encourage you to meet twice a month, preferably after the latest teaching video has been released. If you are planning to watch the teaching videos before the group gathering, make sure you give yourself enough time to watch and prepare for your group.

Important focus points

Inspire Disciple Groups are focused on a few important points.

  • Inspire is a Bible-based teaching ministry focused on discipling believers.

If you want to start and host an Inspire Disciple Group we do require that you follow along with the teachings.

Two options to watch the videos:

Option 1: Watch teachings beforehand, make notes and you share the Bible passage with your group.

Option 2: Watch the teaching together as a group and discuss it afterwards.

Our heart is to equip you through the teachings to disciple others.

  • Jesus had His 12 disciples whom He knew personally and spent in-depth time discipling.

Take note: Even though we love evangelizing, this is not an evangelism focused group. This is a discipleship group focusing on equipping and strengthening those who would like to go deeper in God’s Word.

The heart is that as people get discipled they will go out and evangelize as well as disciple others who want to go deeper.

  • This is a group that is centered around the Word of God. It has a bible study focus and is for people who are serious about going deeper in their bible knowledge and spiritual growth.

  • We encourage all Inspire Disciple Groups to be covered and filled with prayer. Psalm 119:105 says that God’s “word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” We pray that God illuminates His Word to us.
